BURFA CASTLE A four foot high motte remains, although partly damaged. There is no trace of the original stone shell keep. It was in use in the early 14th century but little else is known. It is less than a mile away from Barland Castle and 2 miles from Evenjobb Castle .Photos Gregg Archer
