WOLLASTON CASTLE

The remains of the motte and bailey castle are located immediately west of St. John's Church. The motte is 25 feet high and steep-sided and is surrounded by a ditch. There is a bailey to the north which was also surrounded by a ditch. Part of the site has been damaged by building over the last two centuries.
