A medieval motte and bailey castle dating probably from the 12th century which exists now only as earthworks. The motte 8 feet high with a flat top 65 feet in diameter is surrounded by a wide ditch with an outer bank on two sides. To the east there is an inner bailey, much mutilated, and an outer bailey.
