MORE CASTLE

A medieval motte and bailey castle dating probably from the 12th century which exists now only as earthworks. The motte 2.5m high with a flat top 20m in diameter is surrounded by a wide ditch with an outer bank on two sides. To the east there is an inner bailey, much mutilated, and an outer bailey.
