HORNBY CASTLE Hornby Castle sits high above the village and was started in the 13th century as a replacement for Castle Stede. The tower dates to the 16th century but the rest was constructed during the 18th and 19th centuries. Private, open two weekends each May/June. Photo ©Hornby Castle
