The rectangular mound is about 60 feet in diameter and is surrounded by flat bottomed ditch. The top of the mound is about 10 feet high and consists a mass of fallen masonry from a rectangular keep or hall. The is no historical record of this site which may date as early as the 12th century, but it is possibly a 13th to 15th century manor house.
