FENNY CASTLE


FENNY CASTLE

A motte and bailey castle set on a small natural hill, one end of which has been raised to make to motte while the other end has been levelled to make the narrow bailey. Excavation has unearthed a wall around the summit, as well as iron rings, an iron implement and pottery.
