EDVIN LOACH CASTLE

The remains of the motte and bailey castle consist now of a low motte mound surrounded by a ditch with a bailey on the east side. Inside the bailey are the ruins of the Old Church of St Mary which dates from the 11th century. Its replacement stands nearby.
