Caer Licyn is a motte on a hill set upon the summit of a steep ridge above the Usk valley in the corner of what may have been an Iron Age hillfort. The circular tree covered mound, which has a surrounding bailey but no ditch, is 75 feet in diameter and 7 feet high and there is no evidence of any masonry.
