The earthworks remain of a medieval ringwork and bailey castle situated within the north western part of Blackdown Rings prehistoric hillfort. The ringwork consists of an earth bank, 100 feet in diameter at the base, surrounded by a ditch. The bailey is adjacent to the south east of the ringwork and measures about 150 feet by 60 feet and is enclosed by an earthwork rampart 6 feet high with an external ditch and bank.
