An 11th or 12th century motte surviving as an earthwork. The motte has been much mutilated by gravel digging, but had a base diameter of about 25m. Its present maximum height is 2.3m. The 10m wide ditch and the outer bank remain only on the south east side, elsewhere they have been dug away. The bailey is a level rectangular platform around 14m by 25m.
