NETHER STOWEY CASTLE The ruins of an early motte and bailey castle with two baileys which had a large rectangular keep added in the 12th century. Only the foundations of the keep remain. The castle may have been destroyed during the 12th Century Civil War. Photos Andrew Tivenan
