Dinweilir

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Dinweiler; Castle of Mabudrud

In the historic county of Uncertain (Modern authority of , preserved county of Dyfed).

Castle mention several times between 1146 -1162. King and Hogg write manuscripts strongly suggest that Dinweilir was the Castle of Mabudrud, which was perhaps Pencader (SN445362). Davis writes that Allt y Ferin (SN522232) has also been suggested. Brown writes Mrs Armitage suggested Dinefor (SN611217) but this suggestion is rejected by later studies. The English army encamped at the place in 1159 and the castle was taken by Rhys in 1162.
