Afon Marteg Mount

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; The Mount, Maes Gwaelod; Bedd Garmon

In the community of Abbey Cwmhir.
In the historic county of Radnorshire (Modern authority of Powys, preserved county of Powys).

This site has been considered by some writers to be a castle but is rejected as such by Hogg and King as probably a barrow. Scheduled as a barrow. Remfry considers this an unlikely motte but doesn't totally dismiss it.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Questionable.
Earthworks remains.

This site is a scheduled monument protected by law.
