Oxwich Castle
Also known as, or recorded in historical
documents as; Oxwick
In the community of Penrice.
In the historic county of Glamorgan (Modern authority
of Swansea, preserved county of West Glamorgan).
Remains of a sumptuous mock fortified manor-house built by the Mansel family during C16. Possibly site of earlier stronghold, but see also Oxwich Tower (qv) which may be a precussor.
This site has been described as a;
