Hean Castle

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Hen Gastell

In the community of Saundersfoot.
In the historic county of Pembrokeshire (Modern authority of Pembrokeshire, preserved county of Dyfed).

Hull pictures a tree covered mound which she calls a motte in excellent condition. Not apparently recorded in either the NMR or SMR and not noted by other authorities but the placename, the presence of a mound and a location not far from Churchton church are all suggestive of a castle site. A later high status house, called Hean Castle, stands nearby.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Earthworks remains.
