In the civil parish of Bere Ferrers.
In the historic county of Devon (Modern Authority of Devon, 1974 county of Devon).
Fortified Manor House with a licence to crenellate granted to Mathilda, widow of William Ferrars in 1337 and to John Ferrers in 1340. The building has C18 front and represents an unusual survival.
This site has been described as a;
