Low Askerton

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Mealfarme; Mill Farm; Willeava

In the civil parish of Askerton.
In the historic county of Cumberland (Modern Authority of Cumbria, 1974 county of Cumbria).

Identified in King as vanished pele tower or bastle of Willeava from 1603 survey. Perriam and Robinson write that this is not Willeava, but was marked in error as such by OS. Wileava was at Collin Bank NY574729. They consider it to be the Mealfarme on the 1603 Survey which they think was a possible mill. Both the SMR and PastScape also identify this site with Wileava
