Stourton Park Hill

In the civil parish of Stourton With Gasper.
In the historic county of Wiltshire (Modern Authority of Wiltshire, 1974 county of Wiltshire).

Leland writes 'There are four hillforts near Stourton. One lies to the north-west, within the park, and has a double ditch. I surmise that a manor house or castle stood here, although Lord Stourton disagrees.' An Iron age hillfort with no suggestion, other than Leland's of medieval use.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
This site is rejected as a medieval fortification or palace.
