Percys Tower

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Douglas Tower

In the civil parish of Berwick upon Tweed.
In the historic county of Berwick upon Tweed (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).

Documented site of a medieval tower of C14 date, now overlain by a modern road. The detached tower stood on the townward side, in advance of the main entrace to Berwick Castle. It was known in C14 as Douglas Tower and in C15 as Percy's Tower. The tower was itself a heavily defended work, with its own barbican and drawbridge.

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Certain.
Nothing visible remains.
