Olivers Mount, Shrawley

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Shrawle

In the civil parish of Shrawley.
In the historic county of Worcestershire (Modern Authority of Worcestershire, 1974 county of Hereford and Worcester).

PastScape calls this a C13/C14 fortified manor house. Excavations in 1928-30 revealed the walls of a courtyard with octagonal corner towers and evidence for later iron working. Position guarding ford and ferry crossing of River Severn, isolated from settlement could mean this was a small castle rather than a simple manor house. Shrawley is a dispersed village but site does not appear to have been the actual manor house. Suggested site of a Civil War battery.

The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Cropmarks/slight earthworks remains.
