Inkberrow Castle

In the civil parish of Inkberrow.
In the historic county of Worcestershire (Modern Authority of Worcestershire, 1974 county of Hereford and Worcester).

Rectangular wet moat marks site of fortified manor dating back to late C12. PastScape record reads "A castle was present at Inkberrow in or before 1193-4 and was destroyed in 1233." The moats may represent a replacement manor house. In C13 these would typically be close to, or on, the site of the previous castle.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Certain.
Cropmarks/slight earthworks remains.
