Ogbourne St Andrew

In the civil parish of Ogbourne St Andrew.
In the historic county of Wiltshire (Modern Authority of Wiltshire, 1974 county of Wiltshire).

King writes small rather ill preserved motte. PastScape record reads 'Bowl barrow in Ogbourne St Andrew Churchyard excavated in 1885 producing Medieval inhumations, an Anglo-Saxon inhumation, Bronze Age cremations, some associated with pottery, one with a flint knife. Barrow visible as an earthwork in 1974.' Geophysical survey in 1999 to investigate the relationship between the church and an excavated barrow identified a former medieval manorial enclosure. Creighton rejects this as a castle on the grounds of a lack of a bailey and the small size of the mound. Possible used as a post medieval windmill stead
