Pond Hall

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Le Ponde

In the civil parish of Hadleigh.
In the historic county of Suffolk (Modern Authority of Suffolk, 1974 county of Suffolk).

Helming Legette, constable of Windsor Castle, obtained a licence to empark his manor of Pond Hall in 1369 and two years later to raise the status of his house by embattlement.

This site has been described as a;
Fortified Manor House.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Uncertain remains.

A Royal licence to crenellate was granted in 1371 March 1.
