Lidgate Castle

In the civil parish of Lidgate.
In the historic county of Suffolk (Modern Authority of Suffolk, 1974 county of Suffolk).

Motte and three baileys with wet and dry ditches, some flint masonry. Later converted into country house of abbots of Bury St Edmunds. Suggested to have been built circa 1143.
