In the civil parish of Haughley.
In the historic county of Suffolk (Modern Authority of Suffolk, 1974 county of Suffolk).
Very large motte, with remains of shell keep, and bailey and possible outer bailey. Castle abandoned 1173.
This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle
Masonry Castle.
