In the civil parish of Kirkandrews.
In the historic county of Cumberland (Modern Authority of Cumbria, 1974 county of Cumbria).

Possible bastle, three buildings shown on map of 1552, not on 1590 map but one building on 1607 platt. 'Light Traces of possible buildings can be seen in favourable conditions.'

This site has been described as a;

The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
