In the civil parish of Lydbury North.
In the historic county of Shropshire (Modern Authority of Shropshire, 1974 county of Shropshire).

Mutilated earthwork mound allegedly the findspot of an urn and burnt bones prior to 1872 during road construction. Possibly a Bronze Age bowl barrow, but given its position more likely to be a medieval motte. The surviving fragment of mound is 2.8m high and had an original diameter of 18m. In 1974 it was seen to be incorporated into the kitchen garden of a farmhouse.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Earthworks remains.

This site is a scheduled monument protected by law.
