In the historic county of Shropshire (Modern Authority of Shropshire, 1974 county of Shropshire).

Unidentified castle mentioned in 1134. It was said to belong to Payn fitz John; if so, almost certainly not Caus. Possibly another castle in the area of Caus. Paul Remfry suggests Cymaron Castle, Radnorshire.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Uncertain remains.
