Low Trewhitt

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Nether Trewitt; Low Trewitt; Low Trehwitt; Turris de Terwhit inferioris

In the civil parish of Netherton.
In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).

Possible site of pele tower recorded in 1415 and 1541. No upstanding remains survive, but a number of earthworks, visible in a field to the north of the present farmhouse, are thought to represent the remains of the tower. A small stone window of C14 or C15 date, which can be seen in the north gable wall of one of the farm buildings, may be a relic of the medieval pele.

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Cropmarks/slight earthworks remains.
