Gunnerton Tower, Chollerton

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Gonnerton

In the civil parish of Chollerton.
In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).

Pele tower once stood at Gunnerton. It is mentioned in surveys made in 1541 and 1715 but by the beginning of C20 only one wall survived. Nothing of the tower survives today.

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Certain.
Nothing visible remains.
