Brinkburn Priory
In the civil parish of Brinkburn.
In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).
Augustinian monastery founded in 1135 and dissolved in 1536. Although there was no tower, several of the foundations of the structure appear to have supported strong buildings which may have provided refuge.
This site has been described as a;
