Oakpool Bastle

In the civil parish of Allendale.
In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).

The bastle forms the south end of a range of later buildings. It has many bastle features, including a boulder plinth, large quoins, and walls between 0.9m and 1m thick. Most of the openings are C18 and C19 but there are two older blocked slits in the basement and small loop on the first floor.
