Tweedmouth Tower(s)

In the civil parish of Berwick upon Tweed.
In the historic county of Durham; North (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).

Vanished C16 tower(s) destroyed between 1753-1852 (King is certain there were at least two) Dodds suggest tower was on site of earlier tower (presumably he means Tweedmouth castle). The SMR record seems to assume that that Tweedmouth castle was this C16 tower. Long identifies this tower with Bathers Tower, Spital.

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Certain.
Nothing visible remains.
