Spylaw, near Alnwick

In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of Northumberland, 1974 county of Northumberland).

Nothing known of castle mentioned by Moore, listed as a peel by Harvey. There are two houses called Spylaw in the OS gazetteer for Northumberland, one at NZ039974 and one at NU051312, both are about 10 miles from Alnwick, both are isolated and either could be the site of a tower or bastle.

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Uncertain remains.
