Weetslade

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Weetslaid; Wittslad; Wittsland Juxt Mare

In the civil parish of Longbenton.
In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of North Tyneside, 1974 county of Tyne and Wear).

Tower is listed (without the owner's name) in the 1415 survey of Border defences at `Wittsland Juxt Mare'. This is taken to be Weetslade, although it is hardly next to the sea. There is no later record of a tower in the vicinity.

This site has been described as a;
Tower House.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Nothing visible remains.
