Newburn Hall

In the civil parish of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
In the historic county of Northumberland (Modern Authority of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 1974 county of Tyne and Wear).

Site of a C16 house, incorporating a C15 fortified house or bastle. A centurial stone was found built into the tower in 1887. The building has since been demolished. (This Hall was demolished in the C19 and that another house, initially known as Lemington Hall at NZ178649, took the name Newburn Hall until it was demolished in the mid C20)

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower
Bastle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Certain.
Nothing visible remains.
