Frodsham Castle Park
In the civil parish of Frodsham.
In the historic county of Cheshire (Modern Authority of Cheshire, 1974 county of Cheshire).
Vanished Castle. The given site has been considered by some writers to be the castle site but this site is rejected as such by Hogg & King as Buck's print, of some kind of tower, shows it standing on high ground. However, Salter writes cellar of Castle Park House is said to incorporate last remains of castle. Frodsham Castle originated as an early Norman castle and was burnt down in 1654.
