In the civil parish of St Albans.
In the historic county of Hertfordshire (Modern Authority of Hertfordshire, 1974 county of Hertfordshire).

C13 defences of earthern banks and defensive ditches. No remains. The Saxon defences of Kingsbury may not have had post Conquest use or may have been entirely used by the castle (qv)
