Milton House Mound, Shobdon

In the civil parish of Pembridge.
In the historic county of Herefordshire (Modern Authority of Herefordshire, 1974 county of Hereford and Worcester).

Slight mound on opposite side of the Road to Milton House suggested as possible motte. Milton House (SMR 31410) seems to be last remnant of Deserted Medieval Village (SMR 25780). However, this site is adjacent to a barrow cementry and this mound is similar in description to the nearby bowl barrows.

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Questionable.
Cropmarks/slight earthworks remains.
