Eaton Tregoz Big Field, Foy

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Eaton in Fy; Hole in the Wall; Eton

In the civil parish of Foy.
In the historic county of Herefordshire (Modern Authority of Herefordshire, 1974 county of Hereford and Worcester).

Totally disappeared castle was in parish of Foy. Considerable amounts of lime plaster found on field walking suggestive of high status building. Suggested as fortified manor replacing Camp Field Motte and Bailey, possibly after 1309 licence to crenellate was granted to William Grandison. Eaton was a Domesday village which took the name of the Tregoz family, which was deserted possibly in C14.

This site has been described as a;
Fortified Manor House.
The confidence that this site is a medieval fortification or palace is Possible.
Nothing visible remains.
