Breinton Moat

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Breinton Camp

In the civil parish of Breinton.
In the historic county of Herefordshire (Modern Authority of Herefordshire, 1974 county of Hereford and Worcester).

Earthwork remains of a Norman Ringwork . The ringwork is oval in plan with axes of 34 and 20m, and rises from 0.2m to 1.5m above the surrounding sloping ground. The perimeter bank with an entrance on the north, rises 0.4m above the interior, and an external ditch 10m wide remains on the east and west sides. The earthwork was excavated in 1922 and between 1959 and 1962 when a cellared building was found. The ringwork dates from circa 1150 AD and probably went out of use in C13
