Bredwardine Old Court

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Old Court Mound

In the civil parish of Bredwardine.
In the historic county of Herefordshire (Modern Authority of Herefordshire, 1974 county of Hereford and Worcester).

This site has been considered by some to be a castle but is rejected as such by Hogg and King. Listed as a moated site by Salter and described as such by Shoesmith. Square moat island 30m by 30m, raised about 1m to 2m above surrounding land. Moat is 10m wide by 3m deep, it is dry but fills when the Wye is in severe flood

This site has been described as a;
Timber Castle.
This site is rejected as a medieval fortification or palace.

This site is a scheduled monument protected by law.
