Titchfield Abbey

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Tychefeld; Place House, Palace House

In the civil parish of Fareham.
In the historic county of Hampshire (Modern Authority of Hampshire, 1974 county of Hampshire).

Semi-fortified house built from abbey buildings in 1537 by Thomas Wriothesley. Pardon granted in 1542 for unlicenced embattling. Gate house survives but rest of house demolished in 1781.

This site has been described as a;
Fortified Manor House.

Major remains.

A Royal Pardon licence to crenellate was granted in 1542 Feb 18.
