Raby Old Lodge

Also known as, or recorded in historical documents as; Langley Dale

In the civil parish of Raby With Keverstone.
In the historic county of Durham; County Palatinate of (Modern Authority of Durham, 1974 county of County Durham).

L shaped tower of possible late C14. Salter writes late C15 or early C16. Built for Neville family of Raby Castle, reputadly for a mistress of one of the Earls of Westmorland. Late C19 porches. Coursed pinkish sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. L-plan. 3 storeys, 2 wide bays, 1 bay extension and rear porch. Restored in 1991.

This site has been described as a;
Pele Tower.
