The best county gazetteer of castles I've come across. Intelligent, well illustrated with pictures and plans that give understanding, easy to read without being patronising or 'dumbed down' and properly proof read. Unfortunately Robert Dunning seems to be a man who's interests are with Somerset alone so this stands alone as the standard others should aim for.
