A very old book now and of little real interest in it's own terms of giving a short compass of the subject of English Castles (which includes Welsh Castles) since newer texts, such as Tom McNeill's Castles, do this with benefit of much more archaeological and historical research and with better illustrations. However, it does include an appendix which lists castles which Cathcart King uses as a source for his important text Castellarium Anglicanum, hence my using as a source.
