39 Beadnell A three storey pele tower, 30 foot by 20 foot with walls 5 foot thick, dating form the 16th century but modified in the 18th century alterations. It was incorporated into an 18th century house which is now the Craster Arms public house. NU 232293
22 Bishopton A tree covered motte dating from 1143, No indication that it was ever rebuilt with stone. NZ 368209
33 Blenkinsop A mid 14th century tower, near Greenhead, incorporated into a 19th century building. NY 665645
2 Bothal A mid 14th century castle with a large gatehouse near Morpeth that has been restored. Private. NZ 240866
5 Corbridge A stone early 14th century three storey pele-tower close to the church which was used used by the Vicar of Corbridge as a defence against raids from Scotland. It was constructed from stone removed from the 2nd century Roman fort at Corbridge. It fell into ruins but was restored in the early 20th century and is still in good condition.  
24 Corby A stone 14th century pele-tower now a part of a 19th century mansion. NY 470541
16 Cotherstone A motte castle of the 12th century which received stonework. Remains of the mound are to the north of the village. NZ 015200
21 Hayton Part of the moat exists of this castle, but 300 yards away is a 19th century mansion. NY 110417
19 Liddell An earthwork with a high motte. The castle was allegedly destroyed in the 14th century. There are signs of two baileys, and the motte is in the east corner. NY 402742
38 Ponteland Tower The 14th or 15th century stone Vicar's Pele Tower is in poor condition. NZ 165729
23 Ravensworth Built in the late 14th century with curtain walls and four towers, of which two still stands. It was used as a quarry after being abandoned in the 16th century. It was turned into a manor house in the 18th century, though most of this has now been demolished. Private. NZ 232591
14 Tarset Little remains of the castle here, licensed in 1267, which was oblong with four turrets. It was destroyed early in the 16th century and used as a source of supply for building materials. Traces of the ditch remain indicating a rectangular site. NY 788854
